LEGAL INFORMATION · UPDATED 4 OCTOBER 2026

Privacy Policy

Payments currently operate in Stripe sandbox/test mode only. No real money is charged. The operator’s full legal identity and business contact address must be confirmed and published before paid public launch.

This policy explains how LOLER Quote uses personal information to operate its inspection-enquiry marketplace. LOLER Quote decides how marketplace information is used. Its operator’s legal identity is awaiting confirmation; it is not represented here as a registered company.

For enquiries, complaints, privacy requests or lead-access issues, email enquiries@lolerquote.co.uk. Include your enquiry or purchase reference where available; do not email passwords or card details.

Information we collect

Required fields are needed to handle an enquiry or application. Optional notes are voluntary. Please avoid unnecessary personal or sensitive information about yourself or other people.

How we use it and our lawful bases

Your enquiry-sharing consent allows us to process and share your enquiry so suitable providers can contact you about it. We use provider information to review applications, provide accounts and fulfil lead-access purchases: contract or steps towards a contract where applicable, and legitimate interests for business representatives. Our legitimate interests also include secure operation, fraud prevention, support, purchase/credit audit records and service notifications. Records needed to meet applicable legal obligations are retained on that basis.

You may withdraw enquiry-sharing consent by contacting us, quoting the enquiry reference. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful sharing. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Essential enquiry/account emails are service messages, not marketing subscriptions.

Platform approval

Provider approval is approval to access and use the LOLER Quote platform only. It does not constitute technical certification, accreditation, endorsement or a guarantee of competence, insurance or work quality. Coverage and equipment matching use the details providers submit; they do not certify inspection competence. Customers and dutyholders remain responsible for satisfying themselves that the provider they appoint is competent for the specific examination or work required. LOLER Quote does not undertake the customer’s statutory dutyholder responsibilities.

Who sees an enquiry

The administrator can see the full enquiry. Public lead cards show a postcode area, equipment type, quantity, timeframe, a generic description and the enquiry’s access price, without customer name, contact details or full postcode. Matching providers receive an opportunity alert without protected customer contact details.

Up to three different eligible providers approved for platform access may independently purchase access to the same enquiry. Once that provider’s purchase is successfully confirmed, its dashboard reveals the full customer enquiry and contact details. Purchasing access does not create a public directory of those details. Providers may use them to assess, quote and communicate about that enquiry. They must not resell them or use them for unrelated marketing.

Providers act independently when using information to quote or deliver inspections and are responsible for their own data-protection obligations. We do not sell contact lists or disclose enquiry details for unrelated marketing. The lead-access fee funds the relevant marketplace introduction.

Service providers and payments

Our service uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting/database infrastructure, Resend for transactional email, and Stripe for secure payments and saved payment methods. These services receive the information necessary for their role, such as an email recipient or a payment reference. LOLER Quote never stores raw card numbers or card security codes. Stripe-hosted pages handle those details.

Service providers may process information outside the UK. Applicable processing locations and international-transfer arrangements need to be confirmed before paid public launch. UK data-protection rules require an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards for restricted transfers. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your data.

Retention and security

Closing an enquiry or signing out does not automatically delete its records. Retention is assessed by whether an enquiry/account is active, whether access has been purchased, support/dispute and fraud-prevention needs, and applicable accounting or legal obligations. Credit-award records help prevent repeat introductory awards. A documented retention and deletion schedule is being finalised before public launch; this policy does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.

Accounts use protected passwords and server-side sessions. Access controls restrict provider access to its own account and purchased leads. Essential sign-in and security cookies support these functions. Blocking them may prevent sign-in. Any later non-essential tracking would require its own explanation and any necessary consent.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information. We may need to verify your identity. Some records must be retained for legitimate or legal reasons. Contact us first if you have a concern; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Coverage/equipment matching and price recommendations use simple rules. Provider approval and price overrides are administrative decisions; matching does not determine inspection competence or award work. Material changes to this policy will be dated here.
